Chilcotin Cows – Watercolor Painting

One of my favorite landmarks during our years in Canada was a dilapidated house sitting in the middle of a cattle pasture. We looked forward to it as a milestone as we drove across British Columbia’s Chilcotin region. The lighting was just right on one frosty winter morning as we were driving to William’s Lake.

Alas, the last time we visited Bella Coola in 2010, this landmark was gone, though the cows were still enjoyed their hay in the same field.
